What you need for the crossword treasure hunt.

Choose a number (expressed in words, e.g. three hundred and fifteen) as the solution word for the puzzle, which serves as the code for a combination lock. You can choose any number or, for example, a special date, such as a wedding anniversary date, such as a wedding anniversary, a year of year of foundation or a year of birth. Make sure that the number of digits in the number matches the length of the code of the combination lock.
You will also need a wooden crate, any box or small chest. Fill it with coins or another gift, lock it with the combination lock and turn it into a treasure.
You now prepare a speech in which you address personal words to the hosts and explain how they got their gift of money. You can ask the hosts to solve the puzzle on their own. Depending on who is supposed to solve the puzzle to solve the combination lock and when, think about how you want to present the puzzle. If you want to make it the centre of attention, an easel is suitable. But a frame is also a simple and inexpensive option. Alternatively, you can also print flyers and distribute them on the tables.
