Dear Sara, dear John,

when we thought about how we could give you a few a few good wishes for your wedding, two points quickly came to mind came to mind. It has to be something that alludes to

• John's tendency to call on Excel for help in every situation, and
• Sara's enthusiasm when it comes to solving puzzles of all kinds.

When you combine these two (almost passions), the result is something you two are almost unstoppable with. These are not just passions, but important skills that show organisation, problem solving and your eye for detail. Together, you can overcome any challenge with this combination.

So it's fitting that we're challenging you in a very special way today. But what should look like?

Perhaps you have already discovered the easels and asked yourself: What for? Here it comes. We have prepared prepared three wedding crossword puzzles. Especially you, Sara, will be pleased. [HOLD UP PUZZLE]

But you, John, should not miss out either. As a controller, you will understand that you always have to ask yourself: Why bother? Of course we have an answer to that. Each puzzle has a solution word that you need at the end to get to your treasure chest with our gift. So it worthwhile.

And this is where we come back to your passion, John: you can fall back on your treasured Excel spreadsheet. Not only can you, but you must. You must enter every solution word from the crossword puzzles into this key card (in the form of an Excel spreadsheet). [HOLD UP KEY CARD]

That may sound complicated, but don't worry, we won't throw you in at the deep end - we've got water wings with us. And that's us, your guests.

We have three puzzles: One puzzle must be solved by ‘Team John’ - family and friends who are here today through John's connection. [WHO'S ON IT? HANDS UP ONCE!] On your puzzle, you'll find questions about Sara, her friends and family that you'll have to solve over the course of the evening.

To give an example, a question for you, ‘Team John’, is what is Sara's grandma's name? To me she's ‘Grandma’, but I'm sure you'll find out. [GRANNY WAVE PLEASE]

There is also a wedding puzzle that has to be solved by ‘Team Sara’! [HERE TOO, WHO BELONGS TO IT? HANDS UP!] And one last crossword puzzle with questions about us, which has to be solved by you, Sara and John. And so hopefully we will all get to know each other even better in the course of this wedding ...!
